Sure, the Irish Army should have overthrown the government, and sent the E.U./I.M.F. packing long ago at this stage, but they haven't! Only revolution will save Ireland. As far as the Church is concerned, they're already importing effeminate? priests from Poland. The last time I went to mass and encountered one of these priests, I swear to you that I thought he was a woman! Priests care about meat, spuds n two veg. dinners. Politicians and lawyers care about money.

The stories are incredibly harrowing. Karen has done a brilliant job capturing the ordinary voices of the most defenceless and voiceless of Irish society. I thoroughly recommend it to those who want to gain some significant insight into life in industrial schools in the past. It's so very unputdownable?

It should be remembered that Christine spoke up when it wasnt sexy to do so when the media and society were mainly uninterested. When people talk about showing due deference to the church it was usually obsequious people including politicians, media reporters, judges etc., who owed their exalted position to thchurc which damaged so many people in Ireland? . Sometimes it seems to me that the only people resisting this abusive organisation where those of us in the Industrial Schools.
